Although my computer is still messed up at home, I was able to get the card reader on my office computer to work, so I uploaded all of the photos I've taken recently to
my Flickr.
I posted the rough recipe and photos of the casserole I made 2 weeks ago for movie night to

I've heard that head lice is a big problem in the Socorro Public Schools and NM schools in general. A number of you have children in school. I also just heard on the radio (from WA over the Internet), that many strains of head lice are now/becoming resistant to the special shampoos made to get rid of lice. To combat this, they suggested a simple, inexpensive method known to work for hundreds of years that the lice are unlikely to become resistant to:
1. Douse the child's hair in olive oil. (Olive oil is much cheaper than lice shampoo. Yay!)
2. Put a shower cap over the oiled hair and leave it for 3-4 hours.
3. Comb through the hair carefully, with a fine toothed comb. The lice should be dead/sticky and comb out easily.
4. Wash hair normally.
5. In extreme cases, you'll need to repeat the above process.
